Our Approach

At Propulsion Racing Ltd, we believe in a refined, bespoke approach to racehorse ownership. Unlike larger syndicates that purchase in bulk, we focus on handpicking a select group of value horses with exceptional potential. Each horse is carefully chosen for its pedigree, physical attributes, and racing potential, ensuring that our members are involved in horses that are primed for success.

Our philosophy is rooted in quality, not quantity. We invest in horses with the ability to perform, and by keeping our syndicates smaller and more intimate, we offer members a more personal and hands-on experience.

Purchases

We have a proven track record of buying value in the sales ring , Director Nick along with our trainers are at all the sales and are always looking for value. our best example being Manton Road whom Nick bought from the tattersalls online sale in November for just 1000gns , since then he has ran 10 times for us winning 5 times and being in the first 3 on 9 occasions. Started off a lowly rating of 45 and now at a mark of 64 we believe he is still improving.

Another successful purchase of ours was Roger Henry , bought from Jamie Osbornes yard in May 2024 for £16000 after winning a 7f chelmsford handicap we were confident he had plenty more in the tank. After a couple of disappoints runs for us in June we stepped this 4yo up to 1m 2f and he went on to win at Beverley on soft ground in July , following this he was placed a couple of times at Newcastle as well as Goodwood and Chelmsford. We have subsequently put him away for the winter and he will be brought back for a summer campaign as a lightly raced 5yo.

Syndicate

We like to keep our syndicated horses in small groups , we mainly prefer to do this as our director nick likes to maintain at least 50 % of the ownership. This means we tend to only have a maximum of 5 members per horse ( usually less ) we believe its best this way as each member gets a personalised experience and there opinions and experience matter to us. As a member you get stable visits , badges to all the races as well as updates from Nick and trainers , your share of any prize money won and much more!

Horse Box

In July last year we made the choice as a business to purchase our own horse box , mainly to try keep our own expenses down but as well to hire out when we don’t have runners. Its been a great success and gives us some good brand exposure when driving up and down the motorways
